The Alhambra Monument

The history of Spain is well preserved in the numerous monuments that it has. These monuments are scattered all over the country and you will find some interesting regardless of the region of the country you choose to visit. The monuments make major tourists attraction especially because they have a rich history behind them leave alone the great architectural work that they showcase.
The Alhambra is one of the attractive monuments in Spain. It is situated in Granada Andalusia and is famously referred to as the Red Fortress. It is an Islamic influence vestige calling tourists from all over the world to come here to behold the beautiful site. This monument is an interesting white building maze with alleyways which are narrow occasionally popping with blue doors which are brilliant in every aspect. It is referred to as the Red Fortress because of the gold and red severe lines over it making it magnificent. Most of the parts of Alhambra are quite ancient dating back to 9th century but other parts were completed much later with directions from Yussuf and Mohammed V. You will find most outstanding the courtyards, rose gardens and fountains not forgetting the carefully and professionally carved archways and walls.
Also captivating is the finely detailed ceilings within the Alhambra.
