Interesting Sightseeing in Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and it therefore attracts large numbers of tourists from across the world coming to explore and enjoy the many things that this city has to offer. It especially has a reputation among football lovers and you will never miss to see the undying fans of the football clubs here at any given time. It is a city where you can enjoy a thrilling match as you enjoy the rest of amazing things that it has to offer.

Barcelona has several features worth seeing and those who choose to go on a sightseeing session will enjoy everything that the city has. The tour around the city is always enjoyable and a learning experience for many. There are interesting spots that one can never afford to miss while in Barcelona since they are what make it the more interesting.

Gothic Quarter: it is a major highlight of Barcelona and is also the oldest part of the city. Within the quarter you will find beautiful palaces which now serve as modern office such as town hall and there is also a beautiful gothic cathedral to finish the picture for you. Another place which cannot be missed while in the quarter is the millstone located at the top of Taber Mountain.

Las Ramblas: it is a boulevard between the port and Plaza de Catalunya. It is best representation of Barcelona’s quintessence and you will enjoy being here and mixing with people of different social class and age. Of particular interest are the small vegetable and flower stands as well as the boys offering shoe shine services, the business galleries which are big, street theaters, terraces and cafeterias not forgetting the great city theaters also found here. Some of the buildings which cannot be missed include the Science Academy and Palacio de Moya. It is also home to Barcelona’s most visited market and beautiful squares.

El Puerto: it is the port here in Barcelona and is at Las Ramblas end. The Colon tower is the domineering feature here and you will get to see Barcelona at its best from up here on the tower. The views from here are simply breathtaking, Villas in Escala.

El Ensanche: it is Barcelona’s modern center and therefore has lots in its sleeves to offer to visitors. It is home to the best monuments among them cathedrals, parks, palaces and boulevards. Other sites worth seeing in Barcelona include Montijuc, Tibidabo and Antoni Gaudi works within the city.
