El Puerto de Santa Maria is situated at Cadiz Bay spot on at Guadalete River. This spot is a popular holiday choice for tourists who want the sun, fun and sand. Beaches

History

There is a legend to El Puerto de Santa Maria; it is purported founded by king Menestheus who was involved in the Trojan War. There are numerous palaces and monuments dating back to the 17th century and 18th century.

Some ancient monuments worthy of mention include the San Marcos Castle which was a mosque that was rebuilt as a fortified church. There are some churches, an ex-fish market, a bullring, and many Paleolithic archaeological findings, locations espagne.
